My bags are packed, my plans are finalized and I’m ready to set sail on my very first cruise.Â
But before I depart for open waters and paradise, I wanted to leave you all with my motivation for this week and for maintaining my diet throughout the rest of this experience: I want to have a bikini-ready body.
I’ll let you all in on a little secret: I HATE my body in a bikini. Absolutely hate it. Almost to the point where I dread putting a bikini on. I feel naked and exposed and horrible.
But let’s be honest, who actually enjoys wearing next-to-nothing in front of everyone? That’s right, no one.
However, it’s a part of life. And it’s an integral part of the Florida lifestyle that I’m so lucky to live, so I can’t really just hide from bikinis for forever.Â
I’ve recently realized that the best way to look great in a bikini is to just be confident in yourself. And even though I’m not confident in myself now, I’m hoping to gain that confidence through this weightloss experience.Â
I figure that it’s probably a little too late to get my body ready for spring break, considering I’m leaving today and whatnot, but I know that it’s never too early to start preparing for the summer. And this summer, my goal is to look HOT.
It just so happens that I went bathing suit shopping this weekend with my best friend in preparation for our cruise. And while I have to admit that I look better in a bathing suit than I have in a long, long time, (thanks Jumpstart diet, I owe you!) I still have a long, long way to go before I’ll be fully comfortable and happy with myself and my body in a bikini.
I am happy to say that I found three AMAZING new swim suits while I was shopping. (Thanks, Target, for the great selection!) And I am so very excited to wear them, but I know that I won’t be able to fully enjoy them and myself in them until I’m comfortable with my body.
So my goal this week is to stick to my diet and exercise every day so that I can at least not dread spending my days in only a bikini. But really, my goal starts after this cruise, because once I get back, I am making it my main focus to get myself into fit shape for this summer.
Like I said, I want to look hot. And the only way that’s going to happen is if I religiously follow my diet, work out every day and devote 10 minutes each day to an ab workout. Because we all know the secret to a hot bikini body is a flat tummy, and a flat tummy starts with a simple ab workout.Â
However, it’s time for me to say bon voyage for now! I’m hoping to keep you all updated about my cruise while I’m on it, but I can’t make any promises! If I’m absent for a few days, please don’t hold it against me. I promise I’ll still be counting my calories and getting my exercise, all while having the time of my life.
