14 Football Player Campus Cuties

Name: Shakeel Rashad
Hometown: Jacksonville, Fla.
Year: 2016
Major: Undecided

Even as a freshman, this campus cutie has been turning
heads on and off the football field.

Favorite YoPo/Cold Stone Flavor: Banana Split
Favorite Spot to study: Between any two trees on campus where
he can hang his hammock.
Favorite Spot on campus: The corner of the Quad just across from Wilson Library.

What is a fun fact about yourself?
A fun fact? I am a big fan of leather Sperry Topsiders? Is that a fun fact? Here’s another: I have an Iphone but I’m team Droid.

Personal Motto: You only live once.

Do you have any hobbies?
I really enjoy playing Xbox, sleeping, and watching tv–well not all T.V., just cartoons. Oh, and ceramics.

(A guy who loves ceramics, does it get any cuter?) In addition to his studies and the game of football, Shakeel has already gotten involved on campus through Athletes in Action (AIA)

What would you consider the perfect date?
Anything weird but still fun. Nothing conventional.

Who is your celebrity crush?
Can I name 2? Definitely Oprah and Alex Morgan.

What qualities do you find attractive in a girl?
She has to be fun, easy to talk to, and she would also have to value honesty. Also, I like a girl who doesn’t mind me sleeping a lot.

This campus cutie is a great example of how great our student athletes are at UNC. Although he is from Jacksonville, Florida, he has no doubt that he is going to have a great first year. He has a great sense of humor and is really excited for the overall Carolina experience. In his time here, he plans to continue playing football and explore the Exercise and Sports Science Major offered by UNC as well.
[pagebreak]
As a first-year football player who signed in January, his passion for the game is evident when he speaks of it. This 6-2 linebacker is exactly what UNC fans love, a great player and a great person. So there you have it ladies, a first year linebacker who enjoys studying in a hammock and has a celebrity crush on Oprah–I mean, does it get much cooler than that?

Name:
Zac Brooks
Major: Graphic Communications
Hometown: Jonesboro, Arkansas
Relationship Status: Taken

Why he came to Clemson:
I got recruited for football and I came here to get away from Arkansas. There are nice people here and it’s quieter than the city.

Campus involvement:
Football, that’s it.

What he looks for in a girl:
Classy, a girl who is put together and dresses well; I don’t want a messy girl. I want a girl with goals that knows what she wants. She has to know how to treat her guy and give good massages.

Ideal date:
I would cook for her and set up a nice dinner with candles and flowers; I’d prefer to stay in.

Biggest turn-offs:
Loud girls who get in other peoples’ business irritate me. I don’t like girls who start gossip or the ones who listen to it.

Hobbies, besides football:
I’m interested in photo-shopping and video or picture editing. I like to sing to myself and I enjoy going to the mall.

Dream job:
I’d want to be Hugh Hefner.

Describe yourself in three words:

Confident
Dedicated
Creative

People would be surprised to know that:
I’m antisocial; I kinda like to keep to myself.

Advice for Clemson girls:
Stop smoking. I hate that. It’s another turn-off. Cigarettes, weed, or any of that; it’s not attractive.

Name: Shane McGregor

Year: Senior
Major: Print Journalism and English
Hometown: Ebensburg, Pa.

Say hello to this week’s Nittany Lion Shane McGregor, a senior print journalism and English major from Edensburg, Pennyslvania, who happens to be number 2 on the Penn State football team. You’ve probably seen Shane around campus and if not, he’s known by his golden locks! Not to mention his involvement with THON, which he danced for last year. Shane is also on the 2012 Penn State Homecoming student court, so make sure you stop
by the many events during Homecoming week and vote for him!

HC: What is your favorite Penn State memory?
Shane: Obviously I remember some things better than others, but I don’t want to choose just one memory because singling out one sort of betrays all the rest. And every experiencee – good, bad or forgotten – has worked together in unison to form the path that’s brought me to the present. So I guess every one is my favorite, because every one has played its own special part.

HC: Who is the most inspirational women in your life and why?
Shane:
My mom, definitely. Much of who I am today can be attributed to what her and my dad have done for me throughout my life. One of the best things she taught me was a sense of spirituality, so I’m also inspired by and feel a great connection with the Blessed Mother, Mary. My two grandmothers, Oma and Gracie, are awesome, too.

HC: What shampoo do you use?
Shane:
Nothing in particular. Usually the generic stuff they have in our locker room or whatever my roommates or I have around our apartment.

HC: What’s your guilty pleasure?
Shane:
It’s a tie between mint M&M Dairy Queen blizzards and romantic comedies.

HC: If you could have a super power what would it be?
Shane:
I’m a fan of Batman because his greatest superpower is that he doesn’t have one.
He’s human like everyone else, yet he strives to be a hero who works tirelessly for the good of others. That’s the best superpower one could have.

HC: Describe the perfect date.
Shane:
Doesn’t really matter where or what we’d do, as long as there’s great conversation. We could be lying on the beach or going on a hike or watching a movie, but if I’m going on a date with you it’s all because I want to get to know the real “you” that outward appearances or simple small talk may not reveal. And a great start to that would be a great conversation.

Name: Anthony Verrilli
Year: Sophomore
Major: Health Promotion and Fitness Management
Sign: Capricorn

Where you can find Anthony: On the Football field
Fun Fact: If you can think Anthony’s cute you sould also check out his brother Mike. Thats right, he’s a twin!

Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?
I dont really know, I kind of take it one day at a time. I can see where I am in a week, but not in 5 years.

Whats your biggest turn off when it comes to girls?
Well all girls are annoying, it goes without saying, that’s in their blood. Just the constant annoyance that they come with.

Heres the scenereo, if you were on a date with a girl and she was on her phone majority of the time would you say something or let her continue to use it?
Now lets go back to that last question, this is one of my pet peeves. If I’m trying to talk to a girl and she takes out her phone like what do you have to look at on your phone that just cant wait? I hate that. Yeah I would tell the girl ‘Who are you texting right now? Just put it away’ or maybe I’ll tape her phone(flirtatiously) and be like ‘Yo I’m right here just put that away.’

What 3 qualities must a girl have to win you over?
Face, a face is what attracts, that’s one quality. Then your either a boob or an ass guy, I’m an ass dude. That’s the second thing I look for, nice face and a nice ass and the third as always is personality. If it’s a nice personality then you know your set, she the one.

How would you describe yourself in 3 words?
Ambitious, confident and instictive.

Name: Justin Jackson

How ‘bout them Deacs? What a perfect way to celebrate this year’s homecoming by getting to know this senior football star! Do you think you will be able to spot this cutie on the field this weekend?

Full Name: Arthur Justin Jackson
Year: Senior/Red-Shirt Junior
Major/Minor: Communications/Dance
Hometown: Hamlet, North Carolina
Relationship Status: It’s Complicated

Her Campus (HC): Are you involved in any activities on campus?
Justin Jackson (JJ):
Just football, it takes up a lot of time.

HC: What position do you play?
JJ:
I play outside linebacker and my jersey number is 39. Everyone should come back and watch the game Saturday and support the team.

HC: Did you play football in high school?
JJ:
Yeah, I played fullback and linebacker all four years and got a full ride to Wake for it.

HC: Who was your favorite team growing up?
JJ:
The Steelers.

HC: Was Wake your dream school?
JJ:
No, I didn’t have a dream school, but I liked that Wake was close to home.

HC: What did you like most about Wake?
JJ:
It was a small campus and it has Chick-Fil-A. The Pit was also good when I visited, but I think that was just that one day because it definitely hasn’t been good since.

HC: What’s your favorite thing about being on the football team?
JJ:
The free stuff. Like I can get free cleats, gloves, and other small stuff like that every week but I get at least four or five pairs of shoes a year.

HC: Favorite place on campus?
JJ:
Benson, because all the cuties walk by.

HC: What has been your favorite thing about this year?
JJ:
Social dance, you should see my tango. We have learned that and the waltz; I think I’m a pretty decent dancer. Not the best but not the worst.

HC: Who is your celebrity crush?
JJ:
I don’t like Kim Kardashian, she’s really cute but I don’t like her personality. Jessica Alba and Meagan Good are both my type. I would say the girl that’s interviewing me but she’s not a celebrity, yet.

HC: (Laughing) So what’s your dream girl like?
JJ:
Smart, really cute, athletic body; she would have long hair…a nice butt, fun personality, shorter than I am, nice teeth, and a great smile.

HC: Any eye color?
JJ:
Doesn’t matter.

HC: Favorite first date location?
JJ:
Shorty’s, my bedroom is the best second date location. Kidding! I like taking girls to the movies or going bowling. If anybody wants to go to the trampoline park I would do that.

HC: You would never take a girl…
JJ:
I would never take a girl to Burger King.

HC: What are your strengths?
JJ:
I’m a really good relationship counselor, my stunning good looks, my outgoing personality (I can be shy at times), and I’m athletic.

HC: Can you cook?
JJ:
No, but I can learn.

HC: What’s your biggest pet peeve?
JJ:
I don’t like when someone doesn’t text me back fast enough. If you text me back consistently slower than what I text you it’s a problem, ‘cause I’m a really slow texter.

HC: What do you do to relax?
JJ:
Definitely not running, I’m not a running kind of guy; I go to sleep. Other than that, watch Netflix on my phone.

HC: Do you have a favorite movie?
JJ:
Toystory, because I really like Woody and Buzz Lightyear. The first one is the best, you can’t beat the original.

HC: What’s one thing you can’t live without?
JJ:
My cell phone. I can’t go anywhere without it ‘cause I do everything with it. Text, call, email, Facebook, WIN stalk, Google random people. I don’t know what I would do if I couldn’t WIN stalk.

HC: Biggest fear?
JJ:
I have a re-occurring dream of losing my teeth that are visible; so losing my teeth. I think I have that dream like once a week. That would be horrible if they just all fell out.

HC: What has been your greatest memory of Wake so far?
JJ:
Nothing great happens at Wake, but I had a lot of fun throwing snowballs at people from rooftops my freshman year the first time that it snowed here.

HC: What do you want to do with your future?
JJ:
I would like to play for the NFL, any team but definitely in a linebacker position.

HC: Life motto?
JJ:
You only live once that’s my motto baby, YOLO.
