The kings of YouTube have outdone themselves. Rhett and Link, most known for their daily web series Good Mythical Morning, took a little break from asking the difficult questions like, “Will it corndog?” and “What happens when you drink 300 cups of coffee?” and crossed over into the beauty realm in one of their latest uploads, entitled, “Which Lipstick Lasts Longest?” Given the recent rise of “boy beauty” and the new-found stardom of MUAs like Manny Gutierrez and James Charles, it’s not surprising that Rhett and Link decided to chime in in their unique and hilarious way.
The actual test was named, in typical Rhett and Link fashion, “Let’s Find the Lip-Stickage With the Least Lip-Slippage,” and consisted of four rigorous stages. Donning the drugstore option, Link tested Maybelline’s New York SuperStay 24 Lip Color ($10.49 at Maybelline), while Rhett opted for Stila’s Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick ($24 at Stila) on the high-end side. Each stage of the test was modeled after a “real-life” date situation, i.e, The Dinner Date, which consisted of eating a plate of BBQ ribs, macking on a mannequin, wallowing around on pillows, and…dunking their faces into buckets of water? Either way, the guys didn’t pull any punches. As for which lipstick won out between the two, you’ll just have to watch and see! I hope you’re wearing waterproof mascara, because you will probably cry laughing.
