Whitney Port’s Clothing Line: RTW S/S 2013: Whitney Eve

If you ever watched The Hills, chances are that you’re (not so) secretly obsessed with Whitney Port. Her drama-free personality plus her awesome clothes are enough to merit the coveted “girl crush” status. Then there was The City– tell me you watched The City– where we cheered for Port as she followed her dreams to become a fashion designer. A few years later, Port is at Lincoln Center to show off her line, Whitney Eve. It just goes to show you dreams do come true.

Old meets new as Port modernizes vintage prints with sleek silhouettes and punches of color. And, in true Whitney Eve style, the collection boats a laidback, ethereal vibe.

At first glance, the patterns may resemble something that’s on your grandmother’s couch. However, Port dispels that connotation with her secret weapon: short hems. I mean, how much are you loving those printed cocktail dresses? If this doesn’t say semi-formal, what does?

Not to mention that this printed maxi dress is out-of-this-world amazing. I’m thinking this piece would be perfect for a second date. Because let’s be honest: most guys would shake in anticipation if they saw an Amazonian collegiette (a.k.a. you) strutting down the street in this supermodel dress on the first date.

As much as I’m obsessed with her dresses, I’m seriously craving Whitney Eve’s sweaters. They’re versatile enough to wear while running to class or getting coffee with a friend. At the same time, the eclectic textures also give these sweaters a competitive edge. If you’re lucky enough to buy one of these gems in a few months- jealous, by the way- sport your newest treasure with a statement necklace or boyfriend jeans.

You should also make sure to thank Port for her stylish alternative to the ever-so-drab intern apparel. The fun blazers in this collection will instantly refresh your intern wardrobe. If you’re not feeling a blazer, try one of Whitney Eve’s vests – just as stylish, minus the sleeves. For a polished look, wear one of these picks with neutrals. Can we say chicest collegiette at the water cooler? I think so!
