After wrapping up our first show in Orlando on October 5th, the Her Campus Nationals team headed over to Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama for the second stop of College Fashion Week!
It was Friday of homecoming week at Auburn University, so school pride was in the air – as well as excitement for the new looks to come! Her Campus’s College Fashion Week aims to showcase collegiate fashion trends from all over the country. This year we’ve stopped by Orlando, Auburn and San Diego, and we’re completing the tour in Boston later in the month.
Samsonite, the official luggage sponsor of College Fashion Week, showcased the latest trends in luggage and continued their #LifePacked Instagram sweepstakes at the event. Students took a photo of what their “packed life” looks like and uploaded their photo to Instagram with the hashtag #LifePacked and tagged @SamsoniteUS in order to be eligible for the prizes. Three prize levels will be awarded along with sets of trendy sets of Samsonite bags and accessories. The contest ends on the night of December 20th.
The official beverage sponsor of CFW, neuro, provided neuro SONIC drinks that kept everyone awake and energized throughout the event. Poppin, the official dorm décor and furniture sponsor for CFW (and our personal office furniture provider!), showcased their colorful work style products on the runway and had a Best Dressed Desk competition where one lucky collegiette won desk accessories of her choice by dressing up her dream Poppin desk and posting a photo to Instagram with the hashtag #playdressup.
Some lucky guests received awesome VIP goody bags that included neuro SONIC beverages, Poppin pens and notebooks, Her Campus Shop swag, LUNA bars and more!
In addition to our official independent clothing sponsor, UsTrendy, the show featured fabulous clothes and jewelry from Bongo Jeans, Rampage, Category 5 Boat Shoes, Lilly Pulitzer, OUTSPOKKEN, adidas, Henri Girl and Armed & Readi – talk about some great looks! CoverGirl also provided makeup for our models and LUNA provided snacks!
The theme of College Fashion Week 2013 is “A Day in the Life of Collegiette.” The four scenes for the Auburn show were “You Snooze, You Lose” (lounge and workout wear), “Go to Class? I am Class” (causal and cute class wear), “Tiger Walk” (tailgating and game day attire) and “We Can’t Stop” (date night attire).
