A Tight Budget Can Say Yes to Target’s New Line of Wedding Dresses

Thanks to shows like Say Yes to the Dress and more Pinterest boards than you can count dedicated to any and every part of a wedding, it’s not hard for ladies to obsess over that special day when they will walk down the aisle. From personalized invitations to the “Just Married” sign on the back of a car, one of the central aspects to a dream wedding is finding that perfect bridal gown. And with Target’s new line of affordable wedding dresses, brides to be can get one step closer to the day when they say “I do.”

Target recently released their wedding collection that is complete with four wedding dress styles from designer Tevolio. But you won’t find any extravagant embroidery or delicate lace lining a poufy skirt. The designs are very basic, but in comparison to the price of most wedding dresses they are extremely inexpensive, ranging from $99.99 to $129.99. The styles include a strapless dress, a cap-sleeve dress, and two sleeveless dresses with different necklines. All four designs can be bought in an antique ivory or porcelain white color.

Tevolio’s bridal collection for Target also includes 10 bridesmaid gowns that priced at $69.99. These designs have slightly more variation in style than the wedding dresses and they come in a variety of colors. Brides to be who want to go for a more casual look can opt for one of the bridesmaid dresses in white, reducing their wedding day costs even more.

Although Target is not the first major retailer to offer wedding dresses and other wedding supplies, it is by far the most affordable. J.Crew supplies a number of long and short wedding dresses with varying detail and design, but their least expense option comes in at $365.00, while their more expense dresses push higher price tags up to $2,500.00. Costco is another retailer that provides wedding day essentials like rings, flower bouquets, corsages and table decorations. In 2011, Costco began supplying six wedding dress designs starting at $699.00, but only at a limited number of warehouses in a portion of the country.

With Target providing inexpensive dresses that can easily be bought online, future brides who are on a tight budget can begin to feel more at ease with this increase of affordable options. So while wedding day dreamers are planning their perfect day to tie the knot, they can think about saving money on a dress and spending more on an extravagant location, a mouthwatering cake, and fairytale decorations.
