5 Dupes For The Most Iconic Looks From ‘The Idol’ So Far

If you’re currently engrossed in HBO’s highly-anticipated drama series The Idol, starring Lily-Rose Depp and Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye, chances are you can’t look away. The show has received very mixed reviews from the masses, as it delves into the complex relationship between Jocelyn (portrayed by Depp), a rising star in the world of pop music, and Tedros (played by Tesfaye), an enigmatic, cult-like club owner. From the explicit scenes to the (admittedly) entertaining aftermath of each episode, this show is a feast for the eyes.

The one thing (or many glamorous things) that keeps me glued to the screen for this series, though? Jocelyn’s outfits. The looks are so #hotgirlcoded to the point where I’ve scoured the internet to find their perfect dupes. Check out Lily-Rose Depp’s standout ensembles from the first season!

Season 1, Episode 1: “World Class Sinner” Set

Following a rough photo shoot and a heated disagreement with her intimacy coordinator, Jocelyn finds herself in a PR crisis due to the release of an explicit photo online. Amidst the chaos, the pop star engages in a dance rehearsal in her backyard. For this iconic session, she embraces an all-black ensemble consisting of the Mini Mesh Bra by Didu ($113) and a black micro-mini skirt ($33) — the OG is Guizio’s Micro Mini ($170). Completing her stylish look are a pair of sneakers ($120) and retro-inspired cat-eye sunglasses ($16).

Season 1, Episode 1: The Perfect Club Fit

In the first episode, Jocelyn goes out to the club accompanied by her friends, among them her backup dancers. Jocelyn dons a sleek, baby blue mini dress from Aya Muse ($350). The dress showcases spaghetti straps and delicate panel details. However, the style is sold out everywhere. To achieve a Jocelyn-inspired going-out ensemble, pair the Bahria Bodycon Dress by Motel Rocks ($31) or the wavey mesh mini dress by ASOS ($18) with your favorite thong and trendy heels!

Season 1, Episode 1: Iconic Red Robe

Jocelyn spends most of her time in the episode donned in a luxurious silk robe. The red-and-black look was said to be inspired by an old photograph of Marilyn Monroe in a similar outfit. The Idol’s stylist, Natasha Newman-Thomas, revealed that director Sam Levinson sent the image for reference for the fictional pop-star’s wardrobe. You can find a similar piece with Amazon’s WDIRARA Women’ Silk Satin Pajamas ($28).

Season 1, Episode 2: Leather Mini Skirt

After pushing herself to the brink in the second episode of The Idol, Tedros heads over to Jocelyn’s house with his entourage. It’s been a long day for the pop star after having a breakdown in the midst of a chaotic music video shoot for “World Class Sinner.” In this scene, she’s rocking the RUI Ruby Vest Drop Top paired with Kirin’s Floral Leather Mini Skirt ($80). To get the star’s look yourself, try the Jordy Red Rib Cropped Racer Top ($21) and the Jordy Black Vegan Leather Skirt ($26) by Finesse!

Season 1, Episode 3: By The Pool

Perhaps one of the most-shared looks so far in the season is this casual two-piece set the singer wears in The Idol’s most recent episode. In these scenes, Jocelyn rocks an orange bustier paired with black, high-waisted bottoms. Although I couldn’t find the original designers, you can recreate the look with Urban Outfitters’ Out From Under Modern Love Lace Corset ($40) and the SKIMS Jersey Boy Shorts ($22)!
