Mission Mascara: Week 2

I’ll admit it: I like drama. When it comes to my eyelashes, that it. As far as I’m concerned, the higher they’ll go and the more dramatic they look, the better. So when I first tried out Rimmel London’s MAX Volume Flash Mascara, I knew I’d found my match made in mascara heaven.

First off, for a girl who wears way too much pink (or so I’ve been told) and who gravitates to anything in this particular shade of the color wheel, the appearance of the mascara was love at first sight. The tube is hot pink with gold lettering (you had me at pink, Rimmel) and fat enough to grip firmly while applying.

But aside from appearances, how was the mascara, you ask? Well, this mascara doesn’t disappoint and that’s why it scored a mention in Mission Mascara. Here are a few reasons why this is a marvelous mascara:

  1. Its fat brush helps you create the illusion of thickness in places where your lashes might be otherwise thinner. The effect leaves your lashes looking plumper and more dramatic.
  2. It takes your lashes to new heights. The brush really helps your lashes extend further than many thinner brushes do.
  3. It lasts and lasts. This mascara is long lasting and really does the job.
  4. It doesn’t break the bank. This mascara is top quality without costing like top quality and can be found for $7.19 (and lower if bought on sale).
