Style Scoop: H&M’s Girl With the Dragon Tattoo Collection

At the moment, I’m obsessed with two things: fashion-obviously- and The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. In preparation for the movie, which hits theaters on December 21st, I’ve taken the liberty to pick up a copy of the bestseller. If you haven’t read the book yet, I highly suggest you do: it’s both creepy and addicting! I’m so psyched to tell you fabulous fashionistas that we can channel our inner Lisbeth Salander with H&M’s latest collection. That’s right: one of our favorite collegiette™-approved stores is releasing a Dragon Tattoo collection.

Like our favorite heroine, Lisbeth, this collection is all about edgy pieces. But what if edgy isn’t exactly your style? No worries, collegiettes™: these pieces are pretty versatile. The fitted leather jackets, for example, would look stunning with a floral dress, tights, and a pair of booties. To create a soft look with the graphic T-Shirts, throw on a long cardigan. What about those intense cargo pants? Easy! A sheer blouse would look super cool or, if you want to push the envelope, rock a poncho! Maybe you’re nervous about those super edgy earrings. No need to be afraid, fashionistas: they’d look stellar with a wintry maxi and a blazer.

Actually, all of these pieces are the perfect way to give your outfit that “wow” factor. As fashion-forward college chicks, we’re always looking for that “wow” factor.

If you’re in NYC between December 14th and 16th, you’re in luck!  There’s going to be a H&M  pop-up shop in the Meatpacking District: think cyber café with a dash of computer hacking. Intrigued? Go, go, go! Oh, and don’t forget to tell me all about it!

The collection arrives December 14th. Perfect timing, don’t you think?
