Some Forever 21 ‘Faux’ Fur May Actually Be Real

Forever 21 shoppers in Great Britain were hit with some shocking news this week. “Good Morning Britain,” a popular daytime talkshow in the UK, conducted an investigation looking into the possible use of real fur in Forever 21 items, including key chains and bag charms.

After sending the items off to be examined by a fur expert, it was confirmed that the products contained actual animal fur, including a furry bag charm that was found to have contained angora rabbit fur.

“That’s shocking because in 2014, Forever 21 was on a list of retailers who reportedly banned angora from their shops, because of the way the fur is plucked from these rabbits, it’s not done in a nice way, they’re still alive, a lot of them are in a lot of pain,” said “GMB” correspondent Katy Rickitt.

While the fur has only been found in products from one Forever 21 in the UK, this is definitely a good reminder to be a more thoughtful consumer.
