SAG Awards 2011: The Best & Worst Dressed

Last night’s 2011 SAG Awards was a smorgasboard of highs and lows. No, I’m not talking about the actual show, I’m talking about the fashion. Scroll down to see my pics for the best and worst dressed of the evening!

Best Dressed

Mila Kunis in Alexander McQueen

This look is pure perfection! The print is fresh and edgy, but not so busy that it detracts from the rest of the look. The cinched waist ribbon illuminates Kunis’ svelte figure and I appreciate any celebrity who pays homage to the late, great, Alexander McQueen.

Kim Kardashian in Marchesa

Kim looks like a goddess in this Marchesa number. And while it would be nice to see her wear something other than the one-shoulder silhouette, I can’t help but fawn over the gorgeous jewel-tone hue and glitzy crystal accents on this stunning gown.

Tina Fey in Oscar de la Renta

While the funny gal hasn’t always gotten it right on the red carpet, she certainly mastered the art of elegance at last night’s SAG awards. The vibrant red is glamorous, while the flowery details add a whimsical touch, creating the perfect look for this multifaceted comedian.

January Jones in Carolina Herrerra

Jones is the epitome of old Hollywood glamour in this Carolina Herrerra gown. Based on her red-hot sexpot look at the Globes, it’s clear that Jones isn’t afraid to switch things up and take risks with fashion. I admire her fashion gumption and was happy to see that this time around, she got it right.

Worst Dressed

Winona Ryder in Alberta Ferretti

The 1990’s prom committee called and they want their dresses back. While she might be making a comeback in the movies, it doesn’t look like Winona Ryder will be back on the best-dressed lists anytime soon.

Jennifer Lawrence in Oscar de la Renta

While any 20 year old would be honored to don Oscar de la Renta, the Winter’s Bone star failed this fashion test. Between the shocking color, unnecessary straps, and black bow, there are too many elements to this gown and they detract from Lawrence’s natural beauty.

Haillee Steinfeld in Prada

Don’t get me wrong-I love Haillee Steinfeld and I think her dress choices should reflect her youthful disposition. But this striped-number is borderline ridiculous. This outfit makes me think of a mix between a cartoon character and a Willy Wonka candy bar-two images that this talented star should never be associated with!
