These Pride Month Outfit Ideas From TikTok Include *Fire* Little Details

Pride Month is almost here and that means it’s time to celebrate! Pride Month was first recognized in 1994 when a coalition of education-based organizations in America designated October as LGBT History Month. That anniversary still stands, but in 1999, the federal government first recognized Pride Month officially — called Gay and Lesbian Pride Month back then — with an anniversary every June. Pride Month is celebrated to honor the Stonewall riots that took place on June 28, 1969 in Manhattan, and works to achieve equality for all lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ) individuals.

Donating to charities, visiting LGBTQ+ historic sites, and shopping from LGBTQ+ owned businesses are great ways to show support this Pride Month. You can also celebrate the month by attending picnics, parties, workshops, concerts and parades worldwide! And of course, those fun activities mean fun outfits. Here are some outfit ideas from TikTok that you can use to spice up your Pride Month celebration!

Bold Colors & Patterns

In this outfit, @paris.jacobson is wearing a hot pink, sparkly top and a bright patterned skirt (peep the lesbian flag colors!), but what really elevates the look are the sequin gloves! These gloves from Anthropologie come in white, but if sequins aren’t your thing, try opting for sheer or lace gloves.

June is a hot month, so you definitely want to wear something that will keep you feeling and looking cool. @mattmckenley gave some great inspo with these mesh tops! The great thing about mesh tops is that there are so many types: long-sleeved, crop-top, and even rhinestone! One of his featured tops is from Akira, and they have a variety of mesh tops for very affordable prices.

Want your pride month ‘fits to really stand out? Then the answer is accessories! Fashion guru @the.navarose shared a ton of outfit ideas, but what really ties these looks together are her accessories. Pieces like earmuffs, ribbons, and bags completely transform her outfits. Did you see that mushroom purse?! It’s on Amazon! You can paint it rainbow colors like she did, or paint it the colors of your pride flag. We love a DIY crafting moment.

Match your pride flag

Speaking of pride flags, have you ever thought about styling an outfit based on one? @kikirajxo showcased a ton of outfits based on the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Pansexual, and Nonbinary flags, and they are all from Fashion Nova. My personal favorite pieces from her video are the Every Body Mini Dress and the She’s Bossy Blazer Romper. Make sure to highlight some of the pride flag colors through your accessories!

Have you ever thought about how to style your prescription glasses? Try these fun frames that @veondre highlights in her outfits. Each frame is from Eye Buy Direct’s Forever Pride collection, and this is a brand that you should definitely support. Why? Because 100% of the proceeds for the first $50,000 of sales will be donated to The Trevor Project, an organization dedicated to ending suicide among LGBTQ+ youth through education, crisis counseling, and other resources.
