Pat McGrath’s New Lipsticks Come With Secret Selfie Mirrors

Pat McGrath holds the keys to makeup artists’ hearts everywhere, and when her brand announced its latest collection, I’ll admit that my ticker went pitter-patter. Following the release of the Dark Star 006 Eye Collection this April, the makeup legend is debuting the Lust MatteTrance collection of nine “high impact” lip colors.

The real selling point of the collection though, is the packaging. “It’s so beautiful,” McGrath said to Teen Vogue. “The gold lip is everything—anything with a lip! It’s a nod to the past with a futuristic formula.” 

As Teen Vogue points out, the golden lip on each tube functions as a super-secret selfie mirror, since it faces forward no matter which way you turn the bullet. For $38 a pop, these babies are definitely on the pricier side, but if you’re looking for the perfect double-duty lip product, look no further. The full MatteTrance collection is set to drop on PatMcGrath.com on July 13, and Sephora on July 28.
