Our Favorite Looks From Milly’s Capsule Collection for Banana Republic

Hamptons wear: chic, whimsical, and totally out of your budget. But now, you too can look like a Hamptonite while still remaining within your collegiette funds.

This summer, Milly fashion designer Michelle Smith is teaming up with Banana Republic to bring you a capsule collection of summer separates ranging from $45 to $175. With vintage-inspired prints, bright pastels, and quirky patterns, every piece in the collection makes a statement of its own.

When asked by StyleList about the collaboration, Banana Republic Creative Director Simon Kneen explained, “When looking to Summer 2013, we wanted to focus on the vibrant colors and optimistic patterns that highlight the inspiring, fun-loving Summer season. Michelle’s keen sense of color, print and pattern are the perfect complement to Banana Republic, and her Hamptons-chic style is a new take on aspirational Summer dressing for our consumers.” The result: our favorite combination since pita and hummus.

With more than 60 pieces of original designs, including everything from flowing colorblock dresses to wicker accessories, we can hardly decide what to buy first! Here are a few of our favorite pieces from the collection:

Milly Collection Striped Fit and Flare Dress – $140

Modest, modern, and perfect for graduation party season.

Milly Collection Medallion Print Roll-Sleeve Top – $89.50

We love the slimming tunic style almost as much as the adorable medallion print.

Milly Collection Feathers Short – $55

The preppy statement piece at its finest.

Milly Collection Bib Necklace – $69.50

With this beauty hanging from your neck, the rest of your outfit wouldn’t even matter.

Milly Collection Market Tote – $130

Never has “brown bagging-it” seemed so glamorous.

Be sure to check out the rest of the collection as well – remember, it’s here for a limited time only!
