Our Editor-in-Chief’s 4 Favorite Trends For Fall

This is a sponsored feature. All opinions are 100% from Her Campus.

This post brought to you by Kohl’s. The content and opinions expressed below are that of Her Campus.

As much as I hate to see summer end, I have to admit I am a sucker for fall fashion!  Getting to do some “back-to-school” shopping and put together outfits that are more than just one layer again is always a treat.

I was lucky enough to get to do some shopping at Kohl’s recently to deck out my fall wardrobe.  Check out my four favorite trends for the season below, and head to Kohls.com to snatch some picks of your own!

Cold-shoulder tops

I became completely obsessed with the off-the-shoulder trend this summer, and am now loving the slightly-more-covered-up cold-shoulder trend for fall.  It adds a bit of playfulness to any top and enables you to take your look from class to going out at night.

Lace-up

These days, lace-up anything is my jam.  And I live in leggings so lace-up leggings are basically a match made in heaven for me.  The lace-up look is so ~right now~ and makes any item that little bit more interesting.  I have a feeling these leggings will be going from barre to work to out at night with me on the regular.

Black sneakers

Something about black sneakers is just so ~cool~.  They match everything and just look that much dressier than sneaks in a bright hue.  Black sneakers are very NYC to me.  Though I love flats and booties for fall too, sneakers are clearly the most comfortable and are perfect for days when you’re going, going, going.

Nike Son of Force Women’s Athletic Shoes, $65

Backpacks

These are not the backpacks you lugged your stuff around with in middle school–this year’s backpacks are super chic and patterned and adorable.  Plus they’re way more comfortable than carrying a heavy purse on one side of your body, and with a backpack, you’re hands-free (good thing considering I’m usually carrying a coffee and my phone).  I love this buffalo plaid one in black & white (can you tell I have a thing for black and white?!) and am very into this black pom dangling off it–too cute.

Mudd Callie Buffalo Check Backpack, $24

Head over to Kohls.com to Shop Kohl’s Back to School and make all of your #BigPlans come true. To check out these items plus more stylish finds from Mudd, SO, Candie’s, and more on Kohl’s Juniors Apparel Page. Happy shopping!
