New York Fashion Week S/S 2014: Backstage at Hervé Léger

If you’ve already read Kelsey Mulvey’s take on the Spring/Summer 2014 Hervé Léger collection, then you know it had a sexy, tough-girl edge. Now we’ll take a look backstage at some more details that brought this look together.

The Léger girl is sexy in an understated way, a glamorous, sensual prowler in the urban jungle. Lead makeup artist Val Garland and the Sephora PRO team chose a dark but softly feminine look for the eyes. They bronzed the face for seductive contouring, luminizing the smoky eyes for an extra hint of drama. Lips were nude and flirtatious (if you like the look, try nude lip gloss over a nude lipstick!). Hair, designed by Laurent Philippon for Bumble and Bumble, was slick in front, hanging in long, loose waves in the back.

Take a look at some snaps I took behind the scenes here for more!
