New York Fashion Week Fall 2012: Dezso by Sara Beltran

Sara Beltran is another Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation winner, for the foundation’s accessories category. With her brand Dezso, Beltran channels her experiences in her native Mexico and her travels across India into jewelry that is greatly inspired by the beach. At her Fall 2012 presentation, models in wetsuits sported pieces made from real shells, fossilized shark teeth, and coral. And trust me, this was way better than anything you’d find at a tourist stand on Spring Break–other materials in her collection include emeralds, opals, tanzanite, Polki diamonds, and much more. I’m itching for one of those fish jawbone necklaces in Beltran’s signature “Flamingo Flourescent” (a kind of neon red) color. Take a look at some photos behind the scenes and during the presentation (all photos by me).
