Nailing It: Halloween Polishes from Barielle

This is a guest blog by HC Approved! blogger and Managing Editor Cara Sprunk for Chrissy’s Beauty School.

The finishing touch on any Halloween costume is making sure your nail polish goes perfectly with your costume. You couldn’t be a sexy cat if you’re nail polish was neon yellow; you’re nurse costume would look a little off with mint green nails.

Barielle
has a ton of super bright colors perfect for Halloween. I tried out three of them – and can think of some great costumes they’d go with!

Blossom, a pale orange sherbert-y color would look great on “innocent” Halloween costumes like pumpkins, “babies”, butterflies, or even a candy girl!

Ecstasy, a classic red, with the beautiful boldness of the Barielle shades goes perfect for countless Halloween costumes. Any animal ear + black lingerie costume is just begging for this shade. Doing some burlesque for Halloween? This is your color. Plus perfect for Oct. 31 staples like nurses, devils, and firefighters.

A Bouquet for Ava, my favorite color in this blog post, is a bold teal. I love it for a transition from summer to fall (I have a lot of trouble letting go of summer…). But if you are afraid of untraditional colors, the upcoming holiday is the perfect time to give this a whirl. Test it out with costumes like an American Indian, Alice in Wonderland, Medusa, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle (I surprisingly saw this costume last year on a bunch of girls and it came out really well!), or Peter Pan.

Halloween is just over two weeks away and it’s getting to be creativity crunch time for costumes. Let these colors and more Shades by Barielle inspire you if you’ve got nothing in mind yet (like me and my friends who better be brainstorming right now!).
