While London finished up their highly anticipated fashion week, Milan was just getting ready to show off the Fall/Winter 2013-14 collections. With major names like Fendi and Prada, Milan Fashion week is always a huge hit for fashion lovers and designers from across the globe. The week of fun and fashion presented awesome combos of vintage style with modern designs.

The Gucci show was filled with lace, sheer materials, and silk. The show had a 20’s vibe and even included eveningwear decked out with flapper feathers for detail. Versace stole the show with a daring display of male lingerie. There were plenty of jewels and spikes to go around with the futuristic deco line. The show also included the running tradition of safety pins, a staple for Versace. Roberto Cavalli lit up the runway with outerwear and metallic mini dresses and intricately detailed beadwork.

The Dolce & Gabbana show had a very fairytale-like princess vibe complete with real crowns as accessories. Prada went with a casually destroyed look, complete with fur and chiffon skirts. The Maxmara show included deep V-neck dresses and oversized coats of several colors.

Andrea Incontri’s show included rich colors and rose prints. While traditionally notable designers presented their fall and winter lines, Chinese designer Wang Peiyi made his debut at Milan fashion week with high-end leather and black tones throughout the show.

The week was full of leather, studs, silk, and excitement. Whether you’re a fashionista, a journalist, a designer, or just a spectator, nothing is as exciting as fashion week. What were your favorite trends and moments from Milan fashion week? Comment below!
