After 16 fabulous years, designer extraordinaire Marc Jacobs is leaving Louis Vuitton in order to focus on his self-titled line. For his last collection at the luxury French fashion house, Jacobs paid homage to his epic career with branded apparel and a set that blended some of his most notable sceneries together. In honor of the designer’s consistently outstanding collections, we are taking a sartorial trip down memory lane and looking back on Marc Jacobs’s best collections at Louis Vuitton.

1. Resort 2014
The perfect blend of modern minimalism and seventies chic, this collection is pure perfection. With a mélange of frayed jackets , full trousers, and long-sleeved minidresses, this bevy of clothes satisfies a number of style savants. Though Jacobs’s ready-to-wear shows for Louis Vuitton were notoriously extravagant, there’s something very relatable and effortlessly chic about the nonchalance of the fashion house’s resort presentations.

2. Spring 2012 Ready-to-Wear
What could make dainty embellishments and dreamy pastels even more fabulous than they already are? Having your models ride a white carousel, naturally. No stranger to extravagant shows, Jacobs’s collection was just as spectacular as the scenery: eye-popping appliqué, whimsical feather details, and the occasional pops of vibrant color, just to name a few highlights. Oh, and let’s not forget that Kate Moss jumped off the merry-go-round and closed the show in a delectable feathered dress. Casual.

3. Spring 2013 Ready-to-Wear
It’s as if fierce fashion was sent down to us by the style gods themselves. Dressed in matching threads, models descended the escalators two by two and showed off Jacobs’s designs in harmony. With a color scheme that consisted of yellow, white, black, and brown, the designer’s collection showcased a variety of prints, silhouettes, and hemlines. J’adore.

4. Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear
Who doesn’t want to dress like Mad Men‘s leading ladies every now and then? Jacobs went back in time and sent waves of retro glamour down the runway. From corsetted bodices, to full skirts, to muted colors and patterns, the fashion legend perfectly portrayed this classic era while the use of clashing fabrics gave this collection an innovative twist. Plus, those evening gowns are almost too good to be true!

5. Pre-Fall 2013
With pangs of poppy colors, striped stockings, lace overlay, and fur vests, it seems as if this collection has a little something for everyone. Though it may seem a little scattered, Jacobs offered a slew of different looks without compromising his luxe aesthetic. It takes a very talented designer to mesh several different concepts into one cohesive collection.
