Luck Of The Irish: Dressing In St. Patrick’s Day Style

St. Patrick’s Day is this Saturday, which means it’s time to celebrate Irish heritage in style. I’ve always been a fan of St. Patrick’s Day, because whether you’re Irish or not – there’s so much about it to love: green beer, lucky shamrocks, corned beef and cabbage, and festive parades. Now, while dressing up for St. Patrick’s Day can be fun, the green get-ups people garb themselves in for St. Patty’s Day parties can border on tacky. You don’t want to get stuck the day before with a t-shirt pajama top from Walmart or a pair of tacky leprechaun earrings from Forever 21 (shudder the thought). Even if you don’t love green, there are ton of beautiful and affordable options for that perfect St. Patty’s Day ensemble. Check out these three ensemble ideas for inspiration, and you’ll look sophisticated and stylish on St. Patrick’s Day!

Who says you can’t look trendy on St. Patty’s Day? If you already own a pair of mint green denim, then you’ll be totally on trend for the holiday. Pair your pastel skinnies with a white V-neck and have fun with spring accessories like this floral print scarf from American Eagle and these matching rose earrings. Or match this Oasis crochet cross body bag and crochet TOMS. For an added touch from this spring’s trends opt for nude nails with “Did You ‘Ear About Van Gogh?” from OPI’s Holland collection.

Looking for elegance on this year’s St. Patty’s Day? Try this sophisticated evergreen cocktail dress on for size from Modcloth. To let your green dress pop, opt for understated accessories like this pair of simple nude pumps and this matching clutch. For added bling, this vintage inspired copper shamrock necklace and these drop earrings are rich and decadent without being tacky.

If you’re not afraid to fully embrace your Irish luck this year, add some of these festive green accessories to a neutral-toned ensemble. This emerald green cross body bag from H&M with gold buckles is perfectly matched with these velvet TOMS.
