Let’s Go Team! A Collegiette’s Guide to Super Bowl Style

For Super Bowl XLVI this Sunday, it’s a clash of the NFL titans. The New England Patriots will be wearing their iconic blue and gray uniforms, while the New York Giants will be in their red and white striped uniforms. The question is, what will you be wearing this Super Bowl Sunday?

It hasn’t been this big since the two teams last faced off at the Super Bowl back in 2008 and whether you’re rooting for the Patriots or the Giants (or you know virtually nothing about football anyway), chances are you’ll be attending one or two Super Bowl parties.

Ladies, it’s time to get your game face on. Here are a few tips and tricks to styling for Super Bowl Sunday!

Giants

Worried about how to style for the big game? “Fuggetta ’bout it!” The New York based team has been playing in the same red, white, and blue colors since the origins of the franchise, so wear this chic off-the-shoulder vintage uniform with pride! Match your colored skinny jeans with this Jersey snood and add some rocker chic to your step with these Charlotte Russe studded heels in the same red. Don’t forget to accessorize with these cute logo earrings for under $10.

Patriots

There’s nothing more patriotic than red, white, and blue. But how do you pull off your team pride without looking like an American flag? The Patriots have gone through several uniform changes over the years, but that red, white, and blue has virtually stayed a constant. Go for New England chic with these Fair Isle style gloves (in the team’s colors!) from Forever 21 or these lace-up oxford flats in navy blue velvet from Madewell. This logo t-shirt put together with a pair of H&M distressed jeans gives a grunge-chic look and these accessories (charm bracelet and earrings) are the perfect touch of femininity.
