Let’s Go Back to School Shopping!

It’s August which means…BACK TO SCHOOL TIME! And unlike when we were younger, and dreaded the sight of those school supplies themed Staples commercials, we’re actually excited to return to campus. And while I’m sure all you pre-collegiettes™ out there have done nothing but think about dorm room shopping all summer long, collegiettes™, remember you can back to school shop too — especially if you can do it affordably.

And you don’t only need to shop for notebooks, highlighters and binders. Nor do you need to limit yourself to kitchen supplies for your first off-campus apartment (!!). You can jazz up what you already have in your dorm room with some of these fun suggestions…

TJ Maxx has some great room accessories like this comfy chair…

Bed Bath & Beyond has a powerful and colorful 5-Light Floor Lamp…

And Overstock.com has great beds in bags like this Poppy Fields 8-piece Queen-size bedding, perfect for when you upgrade from your Twin Extra-Long.

If you want to back to school shop, but truly don’t need anything new for your living space, you can almost always justify adding some stuff to your closet.

TJ Maxx and Marshalls have great deals on department store clothes and their merchandise is always changing (they get ~10,000 new items in each store, each week!!). I love this angle cut blazer and these fun winter booties from the low-price store.

Forever 21 always has the best “going out tops” and they’re always updating their clothing too. I’m liking this smocked lace top….

And trolling the sale rack at Urban Outfitters can produce some great finds like this Sparkle & Fade Strappy Colorblock Dress…

Share your dorm and closet bargain finds with me by leaving a comment below! Happy shopping!
