Jewelry That Benefits the Gulf Coast!

The oil spill disaster in the Gulf Coast is one of the largest catastrophes of our generation. How can college girls help? The answer is unusual: start by shopping. Intrigued? Read on to discover where you can shop and make a difference in the Gulf at the same time!

Mignon Faget is a jewelry designer based out of New Orleans who is dedicated to raising awareness about the oil spill and its effects. Her Gulf Coast collection is inspired by the marine life affected by the spill. The collection includes pins with silver pelicans, fish, and oysters; silver pendants, and a charm bracelet. Ten percent of the proceeds are donated to the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana.

Additionally, make sure to check out all the beautifully-crafted “save the gulf” jewelry on Etsy! HC intern Mallory already ordered this adorable pendant!
