Jaden Smith is the New Face of Louis Vuitton’s Womenswear Collection

Jaden Smith has always had a pretty unique sense of fashion. That may be why he just landed a major gig with Louis Vuitton.

Earlier this week, Nicolas Ghesquiere, the artistic director behind Louis Vuitton’s women’s collection, shared a photo of the 17-year-old actor, musician and son of Will and Jada Smith wearing a grungy leather jacket and a pleated skirt along with the caption, “Happy to introduce Jaden Smith @christianingrey in the new SS16 @louisvuitton ad Campaign photographed by Bruce Weber.”

The announcement didn’t come as much of a surprise, as Smith was named one of GQ‘s Most Styish Men Alive in 2015. According to Cosmopolitan, this is the first time in which a man is being featured as the face of Louis Vuitton’s womenswear campaign. Smith, who’s always challenged gender norms with his androgynous style, is the perfect person to be at the front of this groundbreaking moment in the industry.

There’s no doubt that the campaign will break down barriers and gender boundaries in fashion—and we’re so excited about that.
