Last year, Rihanna championed inclusivity in the beauty world by launching Fenty Beauty and rocking everyone’s world. This month, she’s bringing us something a little more ~intimate~. On May 11, Savage X Fenty is launching, a lingerie line good enough for the Bad Girl herself. Given what a fashion icon Riri has become in the last few years, it’s about time.
The teasers began on the Savage X Fenty Instagram page, which first captured our interests on April 18. The official announcement came two days later with the caption, “Sis said we bout to light this up! U ready for #SAVAGEXFENTY lingerie?”
Um, yeah! We couldn’t be more ready — or so we thought. This week Rihanna announced that “savages come in all shapes and sizes!!” on social media, and has been promoting the line with that same mentality, showing women of all sizes slaying the game.
Following the standard that her foundation set with Fenty Beauty, Savage X Fenty will be super inclusive. HelloGiggles reports that Savage bras will be available in sizes up to 44DDD, and underwear sizes top out at 3X. These pieces run the gamut from basic to lacy with everything covered in between. Rihanna posted a photo of a model in a set from Savage’s “#OnTheReg” category earlier this week.
