I Tried the Zeno Hot Spot – And it Works!

I remember it was the summer after high school graduation when my face broke out. I had acne up and down both sides and would try to cover it up daily with makeup. That, to my dismay, only infected the acne even more because they weren’t given the chance to breathe and heal. Then I used to pick (never pick!) and pick and pick to the point that they would bleed. After seeing my dermatologist I was put on some acne medication and was advised on what products to use. Surprisingly, although recommende
d by a professional skin doctor, those products dried out my skin. However, over the last few years my face has cleared (about time!) but I still break out every now and then. Who doesn’t!?

I’ve used probably every spot healin’, face clearin’, pimple poppin’ product ranging from the famous Clearasil to Acne Free to Neutrogena to simply products with pretty labels. I began to think I had an obsession.

But since then I’ve grown out of my “you-need-to-get-every-pimple-product” phase and resorted to a gentle cleanser. Even though I wash my face, moisturize, and am very conscientious about it, I still get pimples. So when I got my ZENO HOT SPOT Treatment the other day I was super excited. I didn’t have to use it on my entire face—the treatment tip would be able to focus on the actual devil itself. I’ve seen the ZENO products on the shelves at CVS but never actually tried them out. To be honest, I didn’t think it could literally just zap zits. And to my surprise, oh baby it can zap those little suckers.

When I first got my ZENO HOT SPOT I realized I had to wait to get a pimple. I know, I know I’m so lucky that I had to wait for one. Shocker, I know.

As soon as I got my ZENO, I took it out of the box, cut open the package, examined it, and read the instructions. Very. Simple.

Now for the waiting game.

A few hours later: I felt one forming. I don’t think I was ever so excited to see a pimple. It was actually one of those pimples that hurt. Perfect.

I took out my ZENO HOT SPOT, pressed the ON button, heard the beeping noise, and put the ZENO to the test. What actually happens is the treatment zip increases in temperature. This blemish-clearing thermal device uses heat to destroy the bacteria that causes your pimples. The treatment lasts for 2 ½ minutes and each ZENO HOT SPOT comes with 80 uses. This little guy has a built-in computer that controls the treatment tip. So cool!

I used my ZENO HOT SPOT three times on the one pimple. I waited a few hours in between and the next
morning when I woke up and checked it in the mirror, it had gone down noticeably. I used my ZENO HOT SPOT again and by that evening I barely had a pimple. Holy moly. I think my ghosts of acne products past rolled in their graves.

What’s even cooler about the ZENO HOT SPOT is that the temperature isn’t hot enough to burn your skin (and is definitely not painful) and adjusts the temperature of the treatment tip to your skin’s temperature.

The ZENO HOT SPOT is meant for those collegiettes™ with mild to moderate acne and you can take it wherever you go. Throw out all those salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide products and invest in the ZENO! Of course you should wash your face daily with a gentle cleanser but a lot of the products we think are good for our skin actually remove our natural oils. Some parts of our face don’t need the same treatment as the other parts; the forehead and around the chin and nose may get oilier than the actual cheeks. With the ZENO you can focus just strictly on the pimple itself and don’t have to worry about drying out your face. The product is so simple to use; I thought I was using it incorrectly at first.

But when I saw the results I literally said out loud, “Well that was easy.”

Have YOU got your ZENO HOT SPOT yet?
