How To Get Taylor Swift’s Sparkly Chiefs Game Nails, Just In Time For Valentine’s Day

If you’ve been on social media at all, you’ve seen the pictures of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce on the field after the Kansas City Chiefs won the AFC Championship — or stared at them for a few hours (guilty). Ever since she started making appearances at games last September, I suddenly became very interested in football and, more importantly, what Taylor Swift has been wearing at every game — including her nail colors.

From her iconic lip look to her album title, it can be argued that Taylor Swift literally owns the color red. The fact that red is also one of the Chiefs’ team colors is the best coincidence ever. Talk about a match made in heaven. It goes without saying that my jaw dropped in shock when she paired a red sweater and lipstick with very pink nails at the championship game against the Ravens on Jan. 28 — they’re giving Valentine’s Day.

It’s not Valentine’s Day without a bit of pink. Leave it to Taylor Swift to inspire us with her new peach-colored manicure at a football game. Her sparkly coral nails are super elegant, and scream romance. Plus, they happen to emulate the 2024 Pantone color of the year, peach fuzz. Whether you’re going out on a hot date or watching a rom-com in the comfort of your bed, I can’t think of a better nail look for Feb. 14 this year.

Celebrity nail artist Lisa Peña Wong reposted Vogue’s photo of Taylor Swift’s nails onto her Instagram story, writing, “Look who still has her pretty nails!!” I don’t know about you, but I certainly can’t afford a celebrity nail artist to do my nails for Valentine’s Day, so here’s how to get the look all on your own!

Start off by filing your nails into a medium length and rounded square shape. Prep your nails with your favorite base coat and let that dry. Now comes the fun part — polish! Apply two coats of a sparkly peach or salmon-colored polish. You can try Essie’s Metallic Nail Polish in Shimmering Pearl Peach or OPI’s Apricot AF color if you need some inspo. Once that dries, find a silver glitter polish to apply on top of the salmon shade. I would try Pacifica’s translucent Bio Glitter in the color Fairy Dust for this step. Finish it off with a top coat to seal in your manicure with a glossy finish, and you’re done!

Everyone say thank you to Taylor Swift for giving fans an iconic Valentine’s Day 2024 nail look that is super simple and extra lovey-dovey. For now, I’m gonna go back to staring at those photos of her and Travis Kelce embracing on the field and squeal some more.
