Everyone can now chill in cool girl attire because the Los Angeles brand, Reformation, is set to sell an edited selection of styles in Nordstrom, both in stores and online. If you’re woke on pop culture’s latest fashion trends, you might’ve noticed celebrities like Devon Lee Carlson (A.K.A. co-founder of Wildflower Cases and girl boss of our dreams) and Emily Ratajkowski (A.K.A. supermodel and feminist goals) rocking the effortlessly feminine and chic pieces on Instagram. As sustainable fashion catches on, Reformation is quickly making its place in every girl’s closets.
Previously, Reformation was only available to customers in-person at its brick-and-mortar shops, located in LA, SF, and NYC, in addition to being available on its website. Being from Southern California and now living in New York City, I see at least three girls a day carrying that infamous black Reformation tote bag as their everyday bag, making it known that, yes, they own something from Reformation. But with Nordstrom stocking 20 of its stores with Reformation, the brand will be more available to customers nationally. Get ready, Chi-town, Texas, and Seattle. It’s already one of the hottest brands as it is, but with its partnership with Nordstrom, it’s bound to become the sustainable fashion brand.
Yael Aflalo, founder and CEO of Reformation, said in a statement, “We have long admired Nordstrom for being at the forefront of retail innovation. We’re proud to join their roster of stellar brands and offer sustainable fashion options to the Nordstrom customer.”
Tricia Smith, executive vice president and general merchandise manager of women’s apparel at Nordstrom, added, “We admire Reformation’s vision and standards for sustainability. [We] know their values and collection of effortless pieces will resonate with our customers.”
Starting this Monday, Nordstrom will be known as Ref’s first ever stock list. Kudos to Nordstrom for hopping on the sustainability wagon. We love an environmentally conscious queen. If you can’t wait until then, you can also shop the brand online.
