Today’s shower time:  coming later today
The shower situation: will come after a 10 mile run
Why you should come back tomorrow: pictures from my favorite vacations (vacations = perfect time to enjoy this wonderful world)

I don’t know what I’m more nervous about – today’s 10-miler or taking a 3 minute shower after that run. Once I start running it will be fine, but there’s always a nervous anticipation before a long run. However, I’m not quite sure how I’m going to get in and out of the shower in 3 minutes. I’ve started thinking about ways to do so, but would love suggestions.

My plan so far includes:

  • Shutting the water off while lathering (time only ticks when the water is running, right?)
  • Keeping the water cold so a long shower isn’t tempting (the extreme temperature change after the run will be rough)
  • This is where your suggestions come in because the above two aren’t enough!

I’d say our final mom’s weekend was a success. We had a wonderful time, which was inevitable since it was my mom and I, and two old-school Britney songs came on. We even walked up to The Body Shop without realizing it. The Satsuma Puree Body Lotion we tried on smelled incredible. We did shop, but ended up skipping pedicures so we could enjoy the beautiful day. I went to a garden I’d never been to, and fell in love. Part of this challenge is recognizing how incredible the Earth is and why it’s worth saving, and the gardens were incredible. I’ll include pictures below, plus, a picture of my adorable new flats. I’m not usually a flats girl (I believe in heels, and the higher the better). However, these were too cute to pass on.

Also, I’d like to say happy birthday to Steve Alfano!
