You know what’s worst than having a pimple on your face on a big day? A cold sore. Those suckers are impossible to conceal and they are #1 thing you want to make invisible. Luckily, Abreva has realized this is actually a major problem and has created the Abreva Conceal Kit for emergency situations like this.
Abreva Conceal is an invisible cold sore “patch” that protects and hides your sore — and best of all can be used with makeup. It’s easy to put a little concealer and bronzer over the patch and kiss that cold sore away (literally – now people will want to kiss you if you don’t have a cold sore in the way) for up to 8 hours.
Each box of Abreva Conceal comes with six non-medicated bandages. Stick the sticky side of the small bandage on the freshly cleaned skin/cold sore (being very careful NOT to touch the sticky side), press down for 15 seconds and then apply a little makeup over the bandage if you choose.
I tested out the Abreva Conceal kit – not on a cold sore – but on a blemish. The bandage was completely comfortable. At first I actually didn’t even think I had put it on right – but there it was if I looked very carefully! I put my concealer over it and a little bronzing powder over it – and my blemish was gone! I will say though that it was important to put the powder over the concealer to even out any visibility of the Abreva patch. Do you know how useful this would have come in at my sophomore year spring formal?! #cringe
Abreva Conceal is a clean, non-medicated patch for cold sores that allows air in, yet protective enough to keep contaminants out.
