If you say the words “Grace Coddington” to any trendsetter, I can promise you that she (or he) will start blushing immediately. Her excellent eye for style- as well as her unruly red hair- makes her a legend in the fashion world. Well my chic ladies, I’m here to tell you that her legacy just became a little more epic. Vogue’s Creative Director wrote a memoir. I, a self-proclaimed fashion junkie and memoir nerd, was beaming when I heard the news.
Last week, Vogue.com released an excerpt from Grace: A Memoir. From what we can tell, this book tells a story about love, loss, and above all things, fashion.
However, one thing this book won’t have is gossip.
“I’m not telling secret stories,” Coddington reportedly said. “Not writing ugly bad things to get back at anyone. This book’s not gossipy. It’s more a record.”
While Coddington may not dish about office scandals or her fun fashion adventures with Anna Wintour-it’s unlikely, but we can still hope- we can only assume that she will talk about the car crash that ruined her modeling career.
We also hear that Coddington dedicated a whole chapter to her favorite felines. Cat ladies, I give you permission to rejoice!
Dying for some more? I hate to break it to you, fashionistas, but you’re going to have to wait until the book is released on November 20th. It’ll be the perfect holiday present, right?
