How are you celebrating National Best Friends Day today? BFF Entertainment and the American Freedom Foundation (AFF) have joined forces to bring the U.S. military new BFFs (no, not Paris Hilton) through the BFF Bracelet Program, which launched last year.
The program is an effort to bring the military closer to the Americans they serve. Each camouflage-colored bracelet, adorned with a silver BFF charm engraved with a unique number, is connected to a member of the armed forces overseas. A set of bracelets — one for you and one for your military BFF — costs $10 and can be purchased at BFF Entertainment’s website. 25 percent of the proceeds go towards the American Freedom Foundation.
Co-founder of BFF Entertainment Meryl Poster says that National Best Friends Day is “synonymous” with the message the campaign hopes to send.
“Through the BFF Bracelet Program, our hope is to promote appreciation of the importance of friendship, service and community while raising awareness for the American Freedom Foundation,” she explained.
After you buy your bracelet, register it online. BFF Entertainment and AFF will then send a matching bracelet to your “Best Armed Forces Friend,” who you can get in touch with online.
These bracelets have been seen on the wrists of celebrities such as Camilla Belle, Jessica Szohr, Chanel Iman, Guliana Rancic, Jason Derulo and others.
More that 10,000 bracelets have been sold since the launch of the program. Do you have yours yet?
