The Best & Worst Dressed Celebs at the Grammys

From couture gowns to miniskirts to one magnificently tailored pantsuit, the red carpet fashion at the 2014 Grammys did not disappoint.  Though there were some questionable wardrobe choices here and there, in general we were thoroughly impressed with Hollywood’s A-List and their sartorial choices.  Here are our picks for the best and worst dressed of this year’s Grammy Awards!

Best Dressed

Taylor Swift: We died over this sparkly champagne gown Taylor wore. This girl knows what works for her, and maybe wears the same palette too often, but DANG does this Gucci number look fantastic on her! Bonus points for the simple, chic ponytail that kept her ensemble from looking overdone.

Katy Perry: The queen of pop somehow snagged a couture Valentino confection just days after it went down the runway at Paris’s couture shows. It’s whimsical, gorgeous and totally Katy. Check out that ‘do, too! We want to know how to do that to our hair!

Madonna: Never one to shy away from fashion risks, Madonna appeared on the red carpet in a beautifully tailored pantsuit. The pop star looked ah-mazing in Ralph Lauren, making us scour our closets for similar outfits to wear to work one day.

Beyoncé: It’s no secret that we are OBSESSED with Queen Bey here at Her Campus. Her white Michael Costello gown made our hearts melt; we loved it!

Ciara: Ciara may be one of the most beautiful people in the world, and pregnancy looks fantastic on her. Like many other musicians, Ciara donned a sparkly, floor-length gown (this one by Emilio Pucci), but she let her bangin’ body do the talking.

Worst Dressed

Pharrell Williams: When Pharrell arrived on the red carpet last night, we are pretty sure the entirety of America gave a collective “WTF.” The Smokey the Bear ranger hat made us really confused, as did his super cazh track jacket… none of it worked. Sorry, Pharrell.

Paula Patton: Robin Thicke’s better half donned a risky, see-through, zebra-print gown that looked more like a snuggie than anything else. It was too busy and a little tacky. Better luck next time, Paula.

Kathy Griffin: The funny woman’s blue, snakeskin-print gown was WAY too busy. It looked more like a swimsuit cover-up than a gown for the Grammys.
