The steps of The Metropolitan Museum of Art – The Met – is hallowed ground. It’s where first and second season Blair and Serena ate parfait before class and bantered idly about fodder spotted on Gossip Girl, (xoxo). One night a year however, the hallowed steps of The Met elevate to the ranks of bona fide holy ground.
It is the annual night of the Costume Institute Gala, when the stars come out on the Upper East Side, and this year as ever, the attendees impressed in their Monday bests.
While this season’s accompanying exhibition, entitled “Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations”, drew scores of vintage Schiaparelli and custom Prada looks to the Met Gala’s red carpet, we’ve rounded up the best of all the looks of the evening’s crowd.
