Here Are The Best Men’s Looks From The 2026 Met Gala

The 2026 Met Gala has officially come and gone, and if there’s one thing we need to debrief immediately, it’s the menswear. Because while the first Monday in May is basically fashion’s Super Bowl, the men have historically treated the Met Gala like a corporate networking event. Cue the endless lineup of black tuxes and safe styling choices that barely even whisper the word “theme.” It’s enough to make a girl (me) feel like The Devil Wears Prada’s Miranda Priestley when she gave Andy Sachs a once-over before uttering her iconic, “That’s all.” But this year? Something shifted. Designers pushed, celebrities committed, and for once, more guys gave us looks that felt intentional, expressive, and dare I say, interesting. Cue the sought-after Miranda Priestley nod. 

Don’t get me wrong, a classic tux will always have its place, just maybe not at the Met Gala. And while there were still some simple tuxes in sight at the Met, viewers were also treated to Hudson Williams’s experiment with eyeshadow, Bad Bunny giving us a glimpse at his future self, and countless other colorful looks that are further ringing in signs of spring. Read on for 10 of the men’s looks that deserve a double (maybe even triple!) take from the 2026 Met Gala. 

Hudson Williams

It was love at first glance when it came to Williams’s look for the night. But when he told La La Anthony that his dramatic eye makeup was a reference to Black Swan, it became at least 10x better. Absolutely no notes, other than maybe a thank you note to his stylist!

A$AP Rocky

As I always say, it wouldn’t be me if I didn’t include something pink in my roundup. A$AP Rocky almost always delivers when it comes to his red carpet dressing, but I’m obsessed with this one. The accessorizing is also chef’s kiss. 

Damson Idris

While it’s basically impossible for this man to ever look bad, the pops of red in Idris’s cuffs earned his look a spot in my list of favorites from the night. 

Sombr 

Sombr was definitely hard to miss in this eye-catching ensemble. I don’t even know where to begin! The shoulder pads, the sash on his chest, the train flowing behind him… it’s a lot, but I’m a fan. 

Colman Domingo

We can always rely on Domingo to give us vibrant colors on the red carpet, or in this case, the steps of the Met. Not sure what I like more, the pants or the fun pattern on his jacket. 

Marcello Hernandez

Speaking of Domingo (IYKYK), Hernandez’s look wasn’t your average black suit. I’m personally a fan of how it looks a little undone — like it’s still in the process of being fitted — with its threads and paper clip motif. 

Danny Ramirez

There’s something about a monochromatic look (that isn’t all black) that always does it for me. I’m also a fan of how the boxy fit isn’t completely swallowing Ramirez — a danger that oversized silhouettes typically pose to their wearers.

Rami Malek

I know it’s spring, but I definitely want Malek’s coat for next winter. The cozy, faux fur collar is just perfection. 

Bad Bunny

I honestly didn’t even recognize Bad Bunny at first when he made his way up the steps. I also fully laughed out loud when he said that his look took “53 years” to make. 

Jeremy Pope

There was a lot of naked dressing on the Met steps, but this was one of my favorites. The attention to detail in this jacket was absolutely stunning.
