Give The Gift Of A Beauty Subscription Box This Year, Bestie

‘Tis the season for skin care, smokey eyes, and subscriptions, besties. It’s time to get started on that wishlist. And now that the Her Campus College Beauty Awards are out, we’ve all got plenty of inspiration. However, with so many products on the market, it can be hard to narrow down exactly what you want. Enter: beauty subscription boxes.

Subscription boxes are one way to keep spirits high all year long: It’s the gift that keeps on giving! All you have to do is find the right option, enter the gift receiver’s address information, and then each month the company will send a fun little box with a bunch of goodies. Since you’ll be charged monthly instead of all at once, it’s a great way to space out holiday expenses! Whether it’s for a friend, family member, or just for you (much deserved), these subscription boxes will make the perfect gift this holiday season.

Kinder’s Beauty Box

Kinder has you set with their monthly beauty box, packed with popular cruelty-free and vegan products. Each box includes both travel and full-size goodies up to $165 in value! Some of their most recent boxes were filled with things like skin serums, lip scrubs, liquid liners, and eyeshadow palettes. If you’re looking for a box with a good variety of products from skincare to makeup products, this is the one for you!

Price: starting at $26/month

IPSY’s Glam Bag

IPSY is a much cheaper option for the girlies on a budget (same!). You start by taking the “Beauty Quiz,” which gets a feel for your skin type and current product preferences. It’ll ask you questions about what brands you typically buy from, how often you would prefer certain products, and whether you like more neutral or bold colors. Once you’ve finished the quiz and created a profile, you can sign up for a Glam Bag subscription for just $13 a month. You’ll receive 5 deluxe-size beauty products that are worth $50+!

Price: starting at $13/month

Allure’s Beauty Box

The Allure Beauty Box is one of the best value beauty subscriptions out there. For only $23 a month, you get 6 editor-picked beauty products, at least three of which are full-size! (They often throw in bonus products on top of that, too.) New subscribers will also get an additional free full-size product with their first box. This month’s November New Member box featured 7 products (4 full-size) of $278 value, according to the Allure Beauty Box website. BRB, signing up for this immediately.

Price: starting at $23/month

Scentbird’s Perfume Box

Like IPSY, Scentbird starts you off with a fun quiz about your fragrance preferences. It’ll ask you if you’re looking for something more soft or rich, and what scents you normally gravitate to.  Finding your perfect scent can be extremely difficult, and it takes a lot of trial and error. (Hence why my choice perfume has always just been vanilla.) Having a perfume subscription box lets you try things out and see what scents work for you. In your monthly Scentbird box, you’ll receive an 8ml bottle of your choice fragrance! Scentbird carries a bunch of designer brands including Gucci, Burberry, Prada, and Versace.

Price: starting at $17/month

Petit Vour’s Beauty Box

Slightly cheaper than Kinder’s beauty box, Petit Vour’s is also completely vegan, cruelty-free, and non-toxic! After you give them your beauty preferences with a short quiz, they’ll curate the perfect collection of goodies for your box based on your answers. It’ll include a mix of makeup products, skincare, haircare, and more!

Price: starting at $21/month

FabFitFun’s Winter Box

FabFitFun’s Beauty Box is a seasonal subscription box, meaning it will ring in at about $55 charged quarterly (which comes down to about $20 a month). While it’s more expensive than other subscriptions since it isn’t monthly, the box includes 6-8 full-sized products that you’re able to customize beforehand. Even if you don’t subscribe to seasonal boxes, the Winter Box would make the perfect one-time gift for any beauty lover.

Price: starting at $20/month

GlossyBox’s Beauty Box

GlossyBox’s monthly subscription box is filled with five beauty products chosen by their experts. Previous boxes have featured products like skincare creams, eyeshadow palettes, conditioners, and moisturizing collagen facial gels.

Macy’s Beauty Box

Macy’s carries the holiday season between the Thanksgiving Day Parade and all of their potential gifts in store. They also happen to have one of the most affordable beauty subscriptions out there! Each month, the Macy’s Beauty Box includes 5 surprise deluxe-size items. Fan-favorite brands such as Tarte, BareMinerals, and Benefit frequently make it into the mix. The contents include a mix of everything from skincare to makeup products. Macy’s switches it up quite a bit each month with the themes. The November box was all about Japanese skin care, while the September box featured the brand Beauty Crop, which makes all cruelty-free and vegan products.

Price: starting at $15/month

BoxyCharm’s Base Box

BoxyCharm starts all their “charmers” off with a quiz to see what kinds of beauty products they’d be interested in receiving. The boxes are customizable, and they typically offer a mix of both skincare and makeup products! A few of the most recent monthly boxes have included products like eyeshadow palettes, lip liners and balms, mascara, and facial cleansers. Each monthly box includes 5 full-size beauty products of your choice.

Price: starting at $28/month

Medusa’s Makeup Beauty Box

Another vegan brand (we love to see it!) is Medusa’s Makeup. They have adorable monthly boxes, each with a new theme. Included in each box are 4-6 beauty products, which could be anything from skincare to primers, eyeshadows, or lipsticks. It’s always a fun surprise, and you can rest assured that the products you’re getting are cruelty-free.
