Beauty Bakerie Announces ~Sweet~ Collab with Olympic Gold-Medalist Gabby Douglas

If you thought you wouldn’t see three-time Olympic Gold Medalist Gabby Douglas until the next Olympic games, you were so wrong! This gymnastics superstar is partnering with the cruelty-free makeup brand Beauty Bakerie, and will be releasing a set of five self-designed lip shades in March 2017 that will cost $80 for the lot. Now, the idea of wearing a gold medalist’s very own lip creation is already a dream come true, but the fact that this collab is with Beauty Bakerie makes it even better! If you’re not fortunate enough to be familiar with the brand, they have developed long-lasting, highly pigmented formulas with the most creative names ever. Each of their products fall under the “bakerie” theme and sport names like Lip Whip ($20), GELato eye liner ($16) and EyesCream eyeshadows ($16). The various shades even follow suit with incredibly tasty names that reference all your favorite sweets.

Gabby’s hard work and determination have been evident through her Olympic triumphs, which helps her align with Beauty Bakerie and their “Better, Not Bitter” mantra. “Being Better Not Bitter is very similar to my personal motto, ‘Hard days are the best because that’s when champions are made,” Gabby said in a press release. “It’s easy to allow negativity or hard circumstances to keep you from chasing your dreams. However, it is very important that you always stay positive and surround yourself with others who share the same mindset.”

The exact launch date will be released in the company’s Neopolitan Newsletter (seriously, these names are too cute!) in mid-March, but hopefully they’ll tease some of the shades beforehand! I can’t wait to see what Gabby comes up with!
