With classes finally in full swing, you may be finding that you missed a few essentials in your back-to-school shopping, but before you set out on a shopping excursion this weekend, take a look at Swirl’s newest shopping app.

As tech-savvy girls, we love using our smartphones for practically everything; but when it comes to shopping, browsing the latest trends on your touch screen doesn’t quite compare with an afternoon of hitting the stores. So we were thrilled to find out about the app, which brings together the best of both worlds. The new app adds a whole new dimension to the shopping process, acting like a personal stylist by tracking products, brands, and locations at your favorite retail stores. Remember that perfect fall sweater you saw in a shop window a few weeks back, but can’t seem to remember who made them or where to get it in your size? Just save it to your Swirl appand it will tell you which stores in your area carry it – directions included. It’s an app that lets you shop the way you want.

Here’s how it works:
Explore: Browse the latest fashion styles and product assortments from retailers and the stylish Swirl community.

Collections: Save your personal picks – from theSwirl app or any other website – for style inspiration to help you plan your next shopping trip. “Clip” items you like and organize them according to themes. Your Swirl account is also accessible online and syncs with your phone, so you can add to your collections from your internet browser as well.

Share: Get your friends involved by sharing, commenting, and collaborating on group collections.

Offers: Get access to the latest offers and sales from over 200 retailers. Plus, the app will notify you of price changes on your saved styles.

Stores: Follow your favorite brands and retailers to learn about exclusive offers, the latest styles, and breaking news.
