There’s nothing better than a lazy day at beach, right? But for all the fun you can have at the beach, there’s also one big annoyance: sand. It seems like sand is incessantly attracted to our bodies and winds up in the strangest (and often inexplicable) places.

So when I heard about Sand Gone, a dry body powder that helps remove sand while moisturizing skin,I knew I had to try it out! Ready for a day in the sun, I grabbed my good friend Kathleen, threw on a bathing suit, packed a beach bag and set off for the beach.

After sunning for a few hours and getting sand all over us (we didn’t even really move around so how that happened I don’t know!), we decided it was time for that sand to go. So I grabbed my tub of Sand Gone and gave it a whirl.

First I wet my skin a little and rubbed some Sand Gone powder onto the puff applicator. Then I rubbed it over the sand that had eagerly clung itself to my leg. It worked really nicely and got most of the sand off of my body. Even better, Sand Gone smells great and leaves your skin feeling soft.

I’ll be honest, Sand Gone isn’t a miracle and I had to scrub extra hard in some places where I had extra sand, but this product is definitely a great alternative to brushing off sand with your hand or a towel. Plus it comes with an adorable little powder puff applicator and a cute little tub.

Sufficiently sans sand, Kathleen and I went off to enjoy some delicious ice cream and take in an awesome sand castle competition.

We ended up getting sunburns (in spite of our incessant reapplication of sunscreen), but it was a great day!

You can buy Sand Gone online for $12.
