Yes, Ken’s “I Am Kenough” Sweatshirt From ‘Barbie’ Exists, & You Can Buy It

Warning: Spoilers for the Barbie movie follow. On July 21, 2023, Greta Gerwig’s long-awaited Barbie movie was released exclusively in theaters. The film’s popularity was established ever since the trailer was released earlier this year, but skyrocketed after its release. Millions of people around the world have been attending Barbie screenings dressed in hot pink, taking photos in Barbie box photo ops. But there’s a trending fashion item coming out of Barbie that isn’t just the titular character’s signature color: Ken’s I Am Kenough sweatshirt.

The movie itself has received great reviews and over $155 million in domestic ticket sales during opening weekend. Fans described the roller coaster of emotions the movie took them on: it covered topics from mother-daughter bonding to feminism and the dangers of patriarchy.

Ken, played by Ryan Gosling, went on a whirlwind journey in Barbie. After talking with Barbie and realizing that patriarchy wasn’t a good thing for Barbieland, Ken sports a tie-dye hoodie that reads, “I am Kenough.”

The marketing for Barbie has been discussed for weeks, as Warner Brothers has gone above and beyond to promote the movie. (Barbie’s Dreamhouse was actually available on AirBnb in Malibu!) After seeing the film, viewers quickly had one question: Could they buy their own version of the I Am Kenough sweatshirt? The answer is yes.

Where To Buy The Barbie I Am Kenough Sweatshirt

The sweatshirt is available for preorder on Mattel’s website for $60. The tie-dye hoodie matches the one Ken wore in the movie perfectly, but the design is also available as a T-shirt, baseball cap, mug, and more. Shipping begins in August 2023.

The official product is obviously in high demand, so if you’re looking for a dupe, there are plenty available. This T-shirt with the “I Am Kenough” design is available on Etsy. The website has many other artists selling their own designs of the phrase, so be sure to check out the different creative routes artists took with the phrase.

Rockatee has the design available in a variety of tie-dye colors, including a vibrant rainbow and a navy blue. BTFStore has a unisex pullover sweatshirt with the signature phrase on it as well. Redbubble creators have stickers and other merchandise with “I Am Kenough,” if you’d rather share your support for Ken on your laptop or water bottle.

Whether you buy your sweatshirt from Mattel, a local artist, or decide to make your own, there’s one thing we can all agree on: Ken’s sweatshirt is iconic, and he is an inspiration to all by proving that he is Kenough.
