5 Beauty Icons to Inspire Your Fall Look

It’s time to admit it, ladies. The end of summer is rapidly approaching. The weather is starting to cool, summer internships are beginning to wind down, and we find ourselves facing the start of another school year. But there’s no need to despair yet! Fall is your opportunity to set the stage for your beauty and fashion looks for the new year. Find fresh inspiration to get you started on the right page with these celebrity looks!

1. Bright Pink Lips

Just because summer is over doesn’t mean the bright colors have to end! This bright pink lip is a flirty and fun alternative to the traditional red, and it’s sure to brighten up any fall look. Try pairing it with toned down eyes link Emma Stone. This shade is also a great way to flaunt that fresh-off-of-summer tan you are sporting. Try L’Oreal’s Color Caresse Wet Shine Stain in Infinite Fuschia, and pair it with a clear gloss.

2. Short Hair

Fall, right after a summer of sun and seawater damage from those days at the beach, is the perfect time to test out a new haircut! Clean up your beachy waves in favor of a short bob. It can look more mature and also lets you bring out your eyes like Rachel McAdams does here. Still not convinced? Check out our nine reasons that short bob should be on your fall to-do list.

3. Orange Make-up

Fall is the season of changing leaves and pumpkins. It’s a season full of attractive warm colors, why not try and work some of those into your beauty routine? Scarlett Johannson shows here how stylish and in-season it can be. Whether you decide for a golden-orange eye-shadow, a bright orange lip, or a glowing orange cream brush, implementing one of fall’s favorite colors is a wonderful way to spice up your look for back-to-school. Jeffrey English, a Sephora pro, advises that if you are a little intimidated by this bold hue, first try out a hydrating gloss with an orange tint and a sparkly finish.

4. Blue Eyeliner

Feeling blue about the end of the summer? We are too! So blue that we have started working this stunning hue into our eye makeup. Use a darker navy in your smoky eye for night, or use a lighter and brighter hue to draw a thin line along the bottom of your eyes like Drew Barrymore above. This is another look that can be tricky, but if applied correctly it can really make your eyes pop. As with the bright pink lip color above, the blue eyeliner is the center of attention in this look; you won’t need much else at all. In fact, too many other colors may make your make-up look clownish. Keep the rest of your look simple, with at most a sheer lipgloss.

5. Embrace Your Curls

I can’t be the only one obsessed with Emmy Rossum’s beautiful wild curls. With all the hecticness of the start of classes, reuniting with friends, or finding your way around a new town, fall is a busy season! For those with curly hair, it’s the perfect time to embrace your natural texture. The keys to curly hair as glamorous as Emmy are moisturizing regularly and getting that volume! Use a deep conditioner like Neutrogena’s Triple Moisture Deep Recovery Hair Mask once a week to keep the frizz at bay. Many girls with curly hair find they benefit from going “no-poo”, or shampoo free. If you’re not sure about ditching the shampoo regimen all together, test it out for a week before committing. You never know, you may just find your curls looking shinier and healthier! To amp up the volume, scrunch a product like TIGI Catwalk Curlesque Amplifier through damp hair, and follow up with a diffuser. This will form your curls and give them that extra bounce.
