Hello, HC at Youngstown Readers! I’ve been thinking about some of my favorite fall snacks recently, and I wanted to share these with you all. Whether you are having a fall movie night or just looking to “fall” into the spirit of this time of year, I have some recommendations to share!

Number 5: “Mummy” Hot Dogs

Obviously this snack isn’t made with mummy parts, but it has a fun Halloween twist to it. The ingredients are very simple! These are hot dogs wrapped in crescent dough that you tangle to look like a mummy wrap. These can be used as more of an appetizer, but they are very popular with kids. You can even add ketchup eye balls to bring them to life.

Number 4: Apple Nachos

I know that this may sound self explanatory, but caramel apples are very popular during this season. Now, if you want to spice up your take on a caramel apple, you could always elevate them to a new level. This could include adding chocolate chips, sprinkles, gummy bears, chocolate drizzle, and more.

Number 3: Fall Snack Mix

There are many variations of this snack that you could use. Most commonly, people try to combine both salty and sweet flavors. A common mix includes mini pretzels, candy corn, mini marshmallows, Cheez-Its, cheerios, and more. This can be an easy and larger snack especially if you want it for a larger group or for a long period of time.

Number 2: Pumpkin Muffins

I love this snack as they give you a taste of a common fall flavor, pumpkin. Often times, people will use a pumpkin muffin recipe where they can add alterations such as chocolate chips or cream cheese frosting. This snack is on the sweeter side, but they are exceptionally delicious! You can also decorate the tops of these to look like little carved pumpkins!

Number 1: S’mores

S’mores may be a basic snack for the cooler weather, but they are a cozy snack that many people enjoy. Especially if you are enjoying a campfire or telling spooky stories, this combination can set the eerie mood this fall. Often times, s’mores are made with chocolate bars, marshmallows, and graham crackers. Another popular combination is substituting the chocolate bars for peanut butter cups.

During the fall season, there is a snack for everyone to enjoy! Thank you all for reading, and stay tuned for more fall-themed content!
