Are you looking for a musical to see? Well then, I have the perfect show for you! In this article, I will be reviewing the show Death Becomes Her. I just recently went to see Death Becomes Her at Playhouse Square in Cleveland, OH, last weekend.
Overall, this show was amazing, and if you are looking for something fun to do, I would recommend you go see it. This show, Death Becomes Her, was originally a movie that came out in 1992 starring Meryl Streep as Madeline Ashton and Goldie Hawn as Helen Sharp. So, the stage production of this show is based on the movie, which is about two best friends who are rivals and jealous of each other when something good happens in their lives. Then they drink an anti-aging potion to keep them young forever because they want to look young and not old, and because of this, chaos happens in this funny musical that is great for teens and adults.
The stage production of Death Becomes Her opened-on Broadway on November 21st, 2024. It survived 2 years on Broadway, with many audiences loving this show. This show sadly ended up closing on June 28th, 2026. Immediately after this show closed, they started casting for the national tour, which debuted in Cleveland on September 12th, 2026.
All in all, this show was amazing and hilarious. I would recommend that this show is probably for anyone over the age of 13, just because this show has some content in it. But if you are looking for a hilarious, dazzling, and thrilling show, then this one is for you. This show still has a few more shows in Cleveland until October 3rd, then it moves to Columbus from October 6th-11th. Thank you for reading, and go out and support this amazing show!
