The month of December will best be remembered for the holiday celebrations and New Year cheers. In January, things can seem pretty dull in comparison. Coming back from a well-deserved break means it’s grind time, yet again! Before things get too depressing, let us not forget that it is the beginning of a new year and a new you! Last semester, maybe you didn’t get the marks you were hoping for or you didn’t work as hard as you know you could have. Well, let this be the moment you put your foot down and make this semester your best yet.
In an interview hosted by Motivationgrid on Youtube, Tai Lopez discusses why hard work is simply not enough. In his interview he discusses consciousness. This consciousness refers to success, which is then divided into four sub-facets; organization, diligence, prudence, and perfectionism.

Organization
Organization is often what will make or break your semester. It doesn’t take much to plan out your day or study session to make sure you are using your time wisely and efficiently.
Perfectionism
This is an interesting one. Lopez explains perfectionism in terms of flight. Before take off, a pilot and co-pilot will always double check all areas on the plane. This is why planes rarely crash. If we apply this to an essay or math homework by proofreading and double checking your work, imagine the rarity of mistakes.
Prudence
Prudence is the ability to make the right decisions. Lopez says that this one aspect can take years to develop. This comes from life experience, mentors, books, etc. It is what separates the average person from someone who admits they are lost and in need of guidance.
Diligence
Lastly, hard work! Without working hard and being committed to your craft you will never accomplish your goals. So, this semester work hard and try and apply the skills suggested and see what happens!
