What a year! 2015 has brought us new and long-awaited music from Lana Del Rey, Hilary Duff, Justin Bieber, Adele, Big Sean, Florence + The Machine, Carly Rae Jepsen, Kendrick Lamar, A$AP Rocky, Fetty Wap and Major Lazer… just to name a few. But with 38 days remaining of the year, 2015 still has the potential to bring us ‘earworm,’ memes and Instagram captions (think, “Hotline Bling”) from much anticipated artists. Here are 4 artists whose albums I want to end my year with.

Rihanna

Anti. It’s been awhile since we had a full length album from Rih. Her last album “Unapologetic” came out in 2013, but we hope “FourFiveSeconds” and “BBHMM” are indicators of how amazing this eighth album will be. We don’t know when we can get our hands on a digital or physical copy. But we DO know when we can get our hands on concert tickets! RiRi is scheduled to bring her Anti World Tour to the Air Canada Centre in Toronto on April 13th. Mark your calendars! General tickets go on sale December 3rd.

Coldplay

What do President Obama, Blue Ivy Carter and Tove Lo have in common? They are all reported to have guest appearances on Coldplay’s new album, “A Head Full of Dreams.” Luckily, we don’t have to wait long. Their new album arrives on December 4th and something tells me the music will be just as colorful and vibrant as the album cover.

 Kid Cudi

A Kid Cudi and Coldplay collaboration would be pretty stellar, but we’ll just have to settle with Kid Cudi’s new album, “Speedin’ Bullet 2 Heaven” arriving the same day as Coldplay’s album on December 4th. While it’s not “Man on the Moon III,” this album has a lot of promise based off the creative direction demonstrated on “Satellite Flight: The Journey to Mother Moon” in 2014 and “INDICUD” in 2013. If you aren’t sold on how special this album will be, according to Kid Cudi on Twitter, he’s ripped his, “heart out and carved it into tiny pieces of musical madness,” for an album that is, “dedicated to everyone strugglin with mental disorder all around the world.”

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis

I am far from ready to classify Macklemore and Ryan Lewis as conscientious hip hop heavyweights (like Lupe Fiasco and Kendrick Lamar). But I do acknowledge that Macklemore and Ryan Lewis have a formula of creating alternative, catchy hip hop songs that require multiple listens to pick up on the social commentary weaved into clever rhymes. “Wings” dissects consumerism, “Same Love” spotlights same sex marriage inequality and homophobia in hip hop. And then there is “Kevin,” a song about America’s overprescription problem. Macklemore and Ryan Lewis debuted this song featuring Leon Bridges last Sunday at the AMAs. Macklemore did promise an album during the second half of 2015, so let’s hope he doesn’t break that promise!

Honorable Mention: Beyonce.

Queen Bey, we all know that you are cookin’ up something special in the studio. Or at least, we hope you are? Please. It’s been two years. On December 13, 2013 you stopped the world with the release of your fifth studio album. So if you feel like gracing us  with the goodness that is your music before the year ends, we won’t complain!

(Even if is just a remix of Hotline Bling).
