The Worst and Best Things About Toledo, Ohio

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Xavier chapter.

I love my city! I was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio and this city has helped shape me into the person that I am today. But that doesn’t necessarily mean the city doesn’t have its disadvantages.

The Struggles:

1. People constantly make fun of our city.

2. The water!

This was a thing in 2014.

3. Bad public transportation.

It’s hard to get around Toledo without a car.

4. Not too much going on.

The Best Things:

1. The chili dogs/chili from Netty’s and/or Tony Packos!

Toledo has better chili than Cincinnati, no one can change my mind.

2. The art museum.

There are so many free activities on the weekends and the museum has beautiful artwork.

3. The parks.

4. The fairs.
