Thoughts You Have During Your First Concert as Told by Tina Fey

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Xavier chapter.

Going to your first concert is a memory that you will cherish forever, especially if you get to see your all-time favorite band. From the rush of excitement that you get when the first note is struck, to the crazy people that probably know a little too much about the band playing, and all the way to end when you get a little sad that it’s over, you will never forget it!

I cannot believe that I am actually here right now.

I have waited so long for this moment.

Open the doors already! I am about to burst with excitement, and cannot wait for the doors to finally open!

There sure are some crazy people here… You have got to be intoxicated to a degree in order to be acting that way, but hey, you do you.

How does one act at a concert? Really though… how do you act at a concert?

Does this person really need to be so close to me? You know, personal space is an actual thing… and your elbow in my ribs is not exactly comfortable.

To the 12 year old next to me, please stop with the glaring. You actually have no idea how long I have waited for this moment, and you are kind of ruining it with all the negativity.

I wish I would have worn more comfortable shoes. I have got to remember that just because the shoes are cute does not mean that they are comfortable nor the most practical idea.

They are literally in the same building as I am… this is unbelievable! Worth every penny to hear my favorite artist sing.

There’s an encore! With my favorite song! Talk about a dream come true. There’s no better way to end this thing other than with their best song. Best. Day. Ever.
