So, there’s something we need to talk about.  It’s been weighing on our hearts and minds for some time now.  A lot of you may be wondering this right now.  

How is Xavier actually pronounced?  

We’ve heard a few variations over the years…like Zah – ve – yer, Egg – zay – vier or Egg – Zah – yer.  But our personal fav. is definitely Egg-Savior.  Get it?

 

But let’s get serious.  Just like in Xylophone, the ‘X’ is not pronounced twice but rather as a ‘Z’ sound.  When in doubt, take a listen to this video.  Xavier students around the world will thank you!
