Whether you find yourself hosting a party or asked to bring something to someone else’s, there’s no denying that there is a lot of expectation on Super Bowl Sunday snacks. The game and the commercials are fun but so is the food. Unsure of what to bring? Try any one of these quick snacks that will be crowd-pleasers among your friends.

7-Layer Fiesta Dip

What’s a party without a good dip? Getting everything good in one bowl creates minimal cleanup and a cool gradient effect!

Recipe:

1 can refried beans

1 can sliced olives

1 cup of salsa (chunky, preferably pico de gallo)

1 cup sharp cheddar cheese

1 cup sour cream (can substitute nonfat Greek yogurt)

1 tablespoon cumin (can substitute taco seasoning)

2 large avocados, peeled, pitted, and smashed (can substitute store-bought guacamole)

1 bag of tortilla chips for dipping

Instructions:

Layer all the ingredients in this order: first beans, then sour cream, cheese, avocados, salsa, olives. Be sure to use a glass bowl to be able to see the layer effect.

Football Pizza

Spice up some frozen pizza by making the pepperonis into the shape of a football! Your guests will applaud you for your creative skills, and it will take you less than a minute to throw together before putting it in the oven.

Recipe:

1 frozen cheese pizza

1 block of mozzarella cheese (can substitute 1 ball fresh mozzarella)

1 package of pepperonis

Instructions:

Unwrap frozen pizza. Spread pepperonis in a football shape in the middle of the pie. Cut strips of mozzarella cheese, laying them next to each other in the middle of the pepperonis. Create a long piece of mozzarella by laying cheese across the strips. Bake in oven as directed by pizza box.

Baked Ham and Cheese Sliders

Snacks are nice, but you want something filling for the big game to keep you from running back and forth to the snack bar while the good commercials are on. Try these Ham and Cheese Sliders for a quick hot sandwich that is as delicious as it is easy to make.

Recipe:

1 box King’s Hawaiian Sweet Rolls

1 pound ham

1/2 pound provolone cheese

1/2 cup melted butter

Mustard topping optional.

Instructions:

Cut rolls in half and put bottoms in an oven-safe tray. Layer ham and cheese on each other rolls. Put top back onto the rolls and pour melted butter over the tops of the rolls. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.

Football Ice Cream Sandwiches

Were you asked to bring dessert but are useless in the kitchen? Bring these ice cream sandwiches; they’ll make everyone happy but don’t require tons of skill.

Recipe:

1 box ice cream sandwiches

Popsicle sticks or wooden spoons

Sharpie

White Icing

1 Ziplock bag

Instructions:

Use sharpie to draw football designs on the ends of the sticks. Stick opposite end into bottom of ice cream sandwich. Put white icing in a Ziplock bag; zip closed and cut off a small section of bottom tip. Use to draw football design on one side of the sandwich. Store in freezer until ready to serve.

Football Cupcakes

They look harder to make then they really are! A tasty way to end your Super Bowl Sunday. Whether your team wins or loses, who doesn’t love a chocolate cupcake?

Recipe:

1 box chocolate cupcake mix

White Icing

Brown Icing

Instructions:

Bake cupcakes as directed on cupcake box. Spread brown icing in football shape once cupcakes have been baked and cooled. Put white icing in a Ziplock bag; zip closed and cut off a small section of bottom tip. Use to draw football design on one side of the sandwich.
